• The original Mr. Handyman was founded in 1996 by David Lavalle in Chelmsford, MA. Mr Handyman began franchising in 2000 and now operates over 200 locations in the U.S. and Canada.
• Over 500 Mr. Handyman vans are on the road to-date.

• A Gift Certificate for 1 full day of Mr. Handyman services was given in the 2005 and 2006 Academy Awards Gift Basket. Additionally, in 2006 for every certificate redeemed a tree will be planted in the celebrities name in New Orleans, as part of the re-forestation effort.
• 2005 ESPY Awards presenter’s gift basket also included a Mr Handyman Gift Certificate.
